The instrument was presented as a gift to this collection by Jytte Benjaminsen in connection with the foundation and opening of the Jeanette Dyremose Academy of Music in the music salon at Lyngholmen 1, Birkerød, Denmark on January 16, 1990. Jytte Benjaminsen was a long-standing and talented accordion student of Harmonikacentret in Copenhagen.
